DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The successful candidate will provide high level administrative and budgetary support to the Vice President for Administration, with special attention to project and task management.

The incumbent will answer/screen calls and respond to inquiries using personal initiative and employing high regard for confidentiality and discretion.

On behalf of the Vice President, draft memos and letters, type correspondence and reports, and maintain records and files.

In addition, the incumbent will: coordinate and organize materials for meetings, mailings, agendas for presentations, and follow up correspondence; oversee purchasing needs and requests for the office and manage the day to day flow of office services, including requisitions, check requests, purchase orders, expense reports; manage travel arrangements; provide database assistance when necessary; assist in the coordination of special events, as directed by the Vice President; and coordinate and support special projects and initiatives, often working with appropriate department directors, the President’s office and other senior administrators on campus.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS: Bachelor’s degree required, plus three to five years of administrative and budget experience.

Experience in a university setting is desirable.

Strong organizational, administrative and time management skills.

Initiative and judgment to independently problem-solve and prioritize.

The ability to independently develop and implement short and long term goals.

Ability to work independently, but also as a strong team member when the situation warrants.

Effective communication skills, both oral and written.

Ability to analyze, synthesize and summarize information.

Computer expertise and continued interest in maintaining skills.

Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and expert level with Excel.

A working knowledge of Datatel’s Colleague is highly desirable.

- Bachelor’s Degree Basic Functions :The Director of Physician Practice Management will oversee the operational and financial management of specified physician practices within the Lexington Medical Center Health District. Responsibilities include the following: 1. Direct Physician Practice operations2. Enhances operational effectiveness, emphasizing cost containment and high quality patient care.3. Works with Vice President in forecasting and preparing annual budget and financial statements.4. Develop and implement strategic long and short-term goals and business plan for physician practices.5.
