We’re so much more than just a phone company!Job Title – Sr Technical Architect, Usability Engineer/ResearcherJob DescriptionUsability Engineer/Researcher – The Customer Insight & Usability Engineering Team within att.com (eCommerce) is seeking a seasoned usability professional with solid experience in planning and conducting usability evaluations and other user research, and a broad knowledge of user experience (UX) and user-centered design principles.

Candidates should have demonstrated successful experience collaborating with geographically dispersed multi-disciplinary project teams and external partners.

The usability engineer works with business partners, design, IA, content, and development teams and with external vendors.

Activities will include: Conducting heuristic evaluations Usability test planning, execution, and analysis Planning and conducting needs analyses, focus groups, competitive usability analyses, card sorts, cognitive walkthroughs and other UX research Reporting research findings and recommendations to project teams and leadership Design collaboration with IA and Design teams Partnering on the design and development of prototypes Partnering with external usability and market research vendors.

Preferred Qualifications A minimum of 5 years of experience in the industry conducting user research using various methods and working successfully with product teams to drive application of results into products.

Education requirements: MA/MS or PhD in human-computer interaction, human factors, psychology or closely-related field, OR a BA/BS in one of the above fields with significant industry experience.

Experience generating research plans, defining and tracking user experience metrics, coordinating work on multiple products/releases.

Must be able to work independently or as part of a team.

Solid knowledge of the field of human-computer interaction, experimental design, observational and field methods and data analysis is required.

Strong written and oral communication skills; skilled and experienced in delivering crisp presentations of research proposals, study findings and recommendations to project teams and leadership.

Ability to lead a research project and to engage and manage necessary resources to complete it Demonstrated ability to plan and execute usability tests and other UX research; analyze data and provide specific and prioritized recommendations Ability to develop partially functional user interface prototypes in a web environment is a plus.

Proficient in common UX design (Visio, Photoshop), prototyping (Dreamweaver) and usability evaluation tools (Morae).

Working knowledge of current and emerging web and wireless technologies, solid understanding of online industry standards and terminology, and an aptitude for learning new technologies.

Organized and effective time manager; able to juggle multiple projects, work effectively under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.

This position is located in MARIETTA, GA.MISSION /SUMMARY:Maximize GPI profitability through the development, management and continuous improvement of a comprehensive paperboard sales and operations planning (S&OP) process.  Work cross-functionally to identify, validate and implement opportunities to optimize paperboard supply and cost effectiveness.  JOB FUNCTIONS: Job functions include, but are not limited to the following:·Lead the business units, supply chain functions, I.T. and outside resources in the design and implementation of an industry leading paperboard S&OP process.·Establish process metrics, report performance results, lead gap closure to targets and drive to Six-Sigma process control.·Champion effective utilization of paperboard production assets through accurate forecasting, creative product sourcing strategies and optimal machine scheduling.·Communicate S&OP demand/supply imbalances and lead resolution.·Identify, analyze and implement supply chain optimization opportunities in collaboration with the business units and other supply chain functions.·Work with business units to design and implement vendor managed inventory and other effective replenishment planning programs to drive down paperboard working capital requirements, increase mill asset utilization and enhance customer service.·Create and maintain a set of tools and procedures to serve as a foundation for each business unit to project their paperboard demand. ·Develop the long range plan, annual plan and period forecasting of machine loadings and fiber balances.·Integrate/standardize the S&OP processes and metrics of existing facilities and acquisitions.·Continually grow knowledge of S&OP excellence, identify and implement best practices for GPI.·Work with I.T. to develop the next generation of planning tools to be used across the corporation to further enhance the level of optimization achieved and reduce the transactional cost required.·Identify resources needed to achieve goals and sponsor their acquisition.·Participate in organization design, lead direct reports’ hiring, training, performance management and development.·Work on special supply chain related projects across the corporation as assigned.·Perform other duties as assigned.BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE:·7 + years of supply chain experience·Paper industry experience a plus.EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE: ·Significant expertise in development and utilization of S&OP modeling technology.·Demonstrated understanding of the principles of supply chain management including:·Inventory management and control·Production management·         Logistics·Sourcing·Demonstrated continuous improvement skills including:·Knowledge and application of Six Sigma tools.·4 year degree.·MBA a plus.SPECIFIC SKILLS:·Customer focus.·Working knowledge of SAP and trim optimization programs.·Microsoft Office proficiency.·         Strong analytical and organizational skills, detail orientation, and interpersonal skills.·Ability to collaborate and communicate with all levels of employees and management.·Superior verbal and written communication skills.·Builds trust and operates with integrity.·Integration ability:  Understands the supply chain’s interaction in our business.·Knowledge of product lines and mixes.·Work involves confidential and sensitive information.  Discretion is essential.·Demonstrated ability to implement creative solutions.EOE M/D/F/V
