Our client is seeking Technical Support (Level III).

This is a 6 month contract only.

The desired candidate will be supporting an Equity/Derivatives trading platform.

The position includes client interfacing various support roles.

Qualifications: Should have strong database support skills with Oracle 10g.

Sybase and SQL Server a plus.

Strong OS support with Unix, Linux and/or Windows, experience with job scheduling tools, strong scripting knowledge (Examples include Perl, Korn, Shell, etc).

Experience in Autosys and monitoring tools in addition to Cloud Computing understanding.

Experience with specific financial area support and general Capital Markets knowledge (FX, Equities, Prime Brokerage, Fixed Income, Commodities, Order Management, Market Data, Risk Management, etc).

Excellent Communication and Presentation skills and the ability to handle the pressure of supporting traders and the trading environment.The desired candidate will have 5+ years experience in trading/investment banking support.

Responsible for handling, transfer, and storage of hazardous materials and lab supplies; coordinate with Environmental Health and Safety to assure compliance with federal, state, and city regulations; represent research laboratories on Laboratory Health and Safety Committee and Radiation Safety Committee.

Provide support to faculty on all issues of physical plant maintenance, health and safety, and research technical services; coordinate with PIs to optimize the facilitys operation; assist in both long-term and short-term space planning.

Responsible for working with Facilities Management on all issues of physical plant maintenance and repair; coordinate with Department of Design and Construction on the planning and execution of major renovation projects and the successful completion of construction of the NWC Building; responsible for the successful completion of all Facilities Management Work Orders; acts as liaison between Facilities Management and all faculty conducting research; serves as representative on the monthly Facilities Production meetings.

Responsible for the logistical set-up and oversight of 21 new labs.
