Primary Responsibilities: Support day-to-day operations of internal and 3rd party production and distribution hardware and applications. Write scripts to automate administrative tasks and monitor production systems. Resolve networking issues related to publishing systems including firewall configuration and dedicated circuits to other content production locations. Troubleshoot end-user reported problems with production tools and services. Participate in a 24×7 on-call rotation with peers. Lead technical and non-technical discussions with both technicians and non-technical end users. Write proposals or papers, making presentations to internal customers and peers, and working closely with upper management. Lead large-scale technical projects, working with company staff and vendors to gather requirements, determine solutions, and then implement those solutions.

Job Requirements (Min 5+ years of experience):
System Administration on Unix (Solaris and Red Hat Linux). 5+ years exp. as a Unix Engineer with heavy Solaris and Red Hat Linux experience. LAN/WAN networking. DNS, DHCP and Sendmail servers. Ability to write scripts for monitoring applications, automating tasks, etc. Ability to interpret server operational characteristics and accurately determine the presence of a problem. Ability to identify possible solutions, select the most appropriate solution, and implement that solution in a timely manner. Ability to use the resources at your disposal to gather information, formulate solutions, circulate ideas to solicit peer input, determine the right solution and implement a timely solution. Strong skills required in critical thinking, problem solving, and analysis. Good written and verbal communication skills. Good interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to mentor junior engineers in best practices of operations. Basic understanding of software development. Exp. supporting software applications. Preferred Experience: Unix certifications. Participate in a 24×7 on-call rotation with peers.

The RequisitePro administrator will be responsibility for the ongoing maintenance of multiple RequisitePro projects supporting a large program. The RequisitePro tool (2003.06.xx) is hosted on an Oracle 8.1.7 databases iwill ultimately contain thousands of requirements and up to 200-300 Word documents. Administrative tasks will include the maintenance of multiple security roles, setup of new users, on-going tool training/support of up to 30 project users. The RequisitePro administrator should have 3 or years hands on experience in design and management of a requirements management tool and 5 or more years experience in the requirements discipline.

The RequisitePro administrator will be responsible to maintaining documentation describing the detailed configuration of each project, generating private views, metric reports, and responding to ad-hoc requests for information. The RequisitePro administrator will import CSV files and Word documents in support of multiple workgroups. The RequisitePro administrator must be familiar with the off-line document feature and its implementation. The RequisitePro administrator will work with each group in establishing requirements traceability relationships. The RequisitePro administrator will work closely with the Project Manager in implementing and evaluating change requests for those documents and requirements maintained within the tool.

The RequisitePro administrator should be familiar with the Rational SoDA reporting tool to generate project documentation such as requirements traceability matrices. Knowledge of SQL is a plus.
