APS Healthcare is growing and we are seeking a proven Trainer/Instructional Designer to join our corporate team on an as needed basis.
We need someone with a consultative style who can contribute immediately! This is a telecommuting position to be based near a major airport for easy travel access.
Responsibilities: -Develop and deliver instructional materials and curricula including instructor-led and e-learning format using adult learning principles and techniques to both clinical and non-clinical staff during new program implementations as well as a result of a needs assessment-Design and develop training documentation to include job aids, work instructions, participant manuals, and leader guides to coincide with workflows and procedures-Design a learning process that involves all subject matter experts and stakeholders to ensure focus and alignment before, during, and after the learning event-Support the LMS by providing reports on training utilization, enrollment, participation, and training program evaluation-Meet tight deadlines and adjust to changing priorities and work independently, yet seek guidance when necessary.
-35% travel in support of position requirements -Manage multiple projects, be a quick learner, and meet deadlines Job Qualifications: -Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Curriculum Development, Organizational Development, Communication or relevant field.
-Significant experience (usually 3+ years) in curriculum development and instructional design required.
- Healthcare industry experience is required -2+ years experience with an enterprise-wide Learning Management System preferred-Outstanding facilitation, verbal/written communications and presentation skills-Strong organizational, interpersonal skills, particularly in collaboration with SME’s, problem-solving skills and project management skills.
-Proven proficiency of PC applications (i.
e., Word, Power Point, Excel, Access, Visio, web-authoring tools such as Brainshark) is preferred.
-Minimum of 2 years experience with Adobe Flash Captivate or other e-learning technologies is preferred.
-Ability to build effective business relationships to address performance issues and staff development needs -Demonstrated ability to perform in alignment with company mission and values.
-A track record as a trainer/instructional designer in a fast paced, results oriented environment.
-A track record in delivering solutions that are customer focused; relevant, timely and cost-effective.
-Demonstrated skills in: curricula development; e-learning, development of job aids and learning instructions; development and the analysis of assessments.
-A proven track record in adult learning and best practices to meet the needs of a diverse workforce with different learning styles.
-A track record in organizing and planning in an environment of multiple priorities.
-Proven ability to work collaboratively in a highly productive team environment, sharing ideas, identifying problems and potential solutions.
- Ability to work within and train on systems especially those used for charting and tracking patient/client progress- Independent but willing to receive guidance and mentoringWork samples will be requested.
