Aerotek is currently accepting candidates for a Chemical Compounder position in the Marietta, GA area.
This position is a contract to hire position and pays $11.
15 per hour to start.
This positions also a second shift position (4:30pm – 1:00am) Monday – Friday.
All candidates must be able to pass a drug screen and a seven year background check.
Position Summary: – Responsible for the proper manufacture and packaging of finished products.
- Must follow formulas and instructions precisely using proper techniques- Add or mix chemicals and ingredients for processing, using hand tools or other devices.
- Compound and process ingredients according to formulas.
- Pour specified amounts of materials into machinery and equipment.
- Examine materials, ingredients, or products visually or with hands; in order to ensure conformance to established standards.
- Discard or reject products, materials, and equipment not meeting specifications.
- Observe production and monitor equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Operate or tend machines to mix or blend any of a wide variety of chemicals.
- Read work orders to determine production specifications and information.
- Set up, adjust, clean, sterilize, and maintain instruments and equipment in work areas.
- Upon completion of and packaging of a batch, responsible for properly and thoroughly cleaning the used vessel by following the tank cleaning procedure.
- Responsible for filling and labeling of storage containers in small jug storage area.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: – Production and Processing Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
- Mechanical Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
- Mathematics Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications- Operation Monitoring Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
- Quality Control Analysis Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
- Equipment Maintenance Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
- Control Precision The ability to quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a machine or a vehicle to exact positions.
- Static Strength The ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects.
- Written Comprehension The ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing.
- Arm-Hand Steadiness The ability to keep your hand and arm steady while moving your arm or while holding your arm and hand in one position.
- Reaction Time The ability to quickly respond (with the hand, finger, or foot) to a signal (sound, light, picture) when it appears.
- Time Management Managing one's own time.
