The Senior Product Director – Biosurgicals is accountable for developing and achieving the US brand objectives for the assigned brand(s), providing leadership to the US Marketing team, and developing outstanding marketing leaders. Accountabilities include ensuring and directing all marketing activities to achieve US Brand objectives and ensuring marketing efforts maximize returns on assets while achieving strategic goals. Duties and activities include: Responsible for the development and execution of the US marketing plan based upon local market intelligence, market research and customer feedback for the brands and specialties assigned; Responsible for supporting the development of global brand strategy (with the Global Marketing team) and for tailoring the global strategy to the US market; Responsible for collaborating with Global Marketing, Regulatory, Legal, and R&D to support Product Development & local Commercialization; Responsible for monitoring market strategy results and developing & monitoring local forecasts; Responsible for local marketing communications specifically advertising, collateral material development, interactive communications and conventions; Responsible for collecting and synthesizing customer feedback, competitor intelligence and local market market intelligence and providing summaries to Group Product Director; Responsible for maintaining relationships with channel partners and key opinion leaders; Responsible for identifying and requesting support needs from commercial support functions (i.e. Sales Administration, Sales Training, National accounts, Reimbursement, Prof. Ed and Marketing Communications); Recruit, retain and develops leaders.

Qualifications

A minimum of a Bachelors degree is required. A Masters level degree is preferred. A minimum of 3 years of experience as a marketing professional or sales manager is required. Comprehensive marketing skills including forecasting, collateral material development, pricing, branding are required. Experience with medical devices, disposables, biosurgical products or biologics would be highly desirable. Must have experience working with cross-functional teams. Experience with an OR (Operating Room) customer base is highly desirable. Experience supporting sales teams is required. Must be comfortable with a highly complex regulatory environment and have high attention to detail. Must be highly strategic and be able to position a brand for the long term in relationship to the business. People management skills are preferred. This position requires 30 % travel primarily domestically with some international travel.
