JOB DESCRIPTIONWilliams Advanced Materials Inc. OCCUPATION: Product Manager DEPT: Marketing JOB PURPOSE AND REPORTING STRUCTURE: Under the direction of the Marketing Director (or equivalent based on business need), the Product Manager will function as the key customer driver in the marketplace to increase the sales, profitability, and market share.
The PM will provide direct interface with existing and new customers in order to fully satisfy their needs and will bring additional product user knowledge to the organization to promote the further penetration of new markets and business growth.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES: include the following.

Utilize personal industry knowledge and contacts to expand companys sales in defined market.
Ensure sales plan is consistent with overall marketing plans for growth.
Solve customer problems through interface with technical service, production, quality assurance, and customer service.
Coordinate sales distribution by establishing sales territories, sales forecasts, quotes, quotas, incentives, methods, and goals, and advise dealers, distributors, and clients concerning sales and advertising techniques.
Maintain sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors.
Research, analyze and monitor financial, technological and competitive factors so that market opportunities may be capitalized on and the effects of competitive activity may be minimized.
Review business results, ensure customer satisfaction, develop strategies for growth and formulate tactics to expand business opportunities.
Develop and maintain the overall marketing communications strategy for all products and/or services including suggestions for trade shows, conferences, advertising, product information, etc. Demonstrate and sustain strong grasp of key technical expertise.
Provide technical advice at customers sites.
Develop training and updates for strategic sales and marketing meetings throughout the year.
Analyze and suggest new market segments for company based upon analysis of company capabilities and market requirements.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Requires education generally equivalent to a Bachelors degree in a technical discipline and/or a minimum of 5 years equivalent industry experience.
Experience in the manufacture or use of the product scope responsible for is highly essential.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, reports, manuals, professional journals, technical procedures, governmental regulations, and client documents.
Ability to write reports, prepare business correspondence/memos, and procedure/documentation manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, staff, clients, vendors, and the general public in written or verbal format.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to work with general accounting principles, and other fundamental mathematical concepts normally encountered in the day to day activities of this job. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to provide and interpret numerical information in various forms, using spreadsheet or other means of presentation.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to define problems collect data, establish facts, and draw valid, logical conclusions.
Ability to interpret a variety of technical and business information related to the requirements of this job. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES Requires the ability to operate various office equipment to include a computer, copy machine, fax machine and telephone.
Requires good negotiation skills.
This position requires extensive travel at approximately 40-60%.
