Canon, USA is currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Sales Trainer for our Consumer Imaging Group (CIG). The Sales Trainer is responsible for planning and conducting training (home/office, digital imaging products) for retail and distributor accounts. He/she will participate in national trade shows, create and analyze competitive marketing information, as well as design product presentations. The Sales Trainer is actively involved in creating marketing material. He/she must be comfortable presenting before a wide variety of audiences including one-on-one, multiple individuals and high level executives.

A qualified candidate must have a Bachelors degree or equivalent with 1 – 2 years experience in product training or marketing. Candidate must have professional and effective presentation skills, strong writing skills and a verifiable proficiency with MS applications. In addition, color background, camera background, digital imaging background, or copier background along with Consumer Electronics experience would be a PLUS. A suitable candidate would possess all or a combination of these skills. The position will require extensive travel of up to 80%.

This person will be involved in Monthly Reporting and Close. This will include the Monthly reporting of P&Ls and cash flows by revenue centers and cost centers and calculate accrued payrolls, commissions, fringes, royalties.

At least 7 years in public/private accounting, including 2 years of experience with job costing, is required. Familiarity with SOP 97-2 and related accounting rules on software revenue recognition is required. Candidates must have comfort with Great Plains 8.0 and 9.0, FRx Report Writer, salesforce.com and MS-Excel.
